Betts has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. She has taught Physical Education to children kindergarten through fifth grade.
Her experience is varied, having over 15 years experience working with people of all disabilities and ages.

Dr. Kathleen Sanders acquired the Nelson Healing Center from her predecessor, Dr. Melissa Nelson, and rebranded it as the Door County Healing Center in 2017.
She earned her degree in dietetics from Eastern Michigan University and completed her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Palmer College in Davenport, Iowa, in 2011. While her main clinical focus is on women’s health, she treats a diverse range of patients. Dr. Sanders is a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, holds a clinical nutrition license in Wisconsin, is certified in the Webster’s Technique through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and has training as a birth and labor doula. She employs a personalized integrative approach to chiropractic care and clinical nutrition, driven by her passion for educating patients and facilitating healthy transformations.
Residing in Sturgeon Bay with her husband and four children, Dr. Sanders enjoys outdoor adventures, caring for babies, running, and indulging in dark chocolate.
